I think pink would definitely be too much and ok for a younger girl. BUT, have fun with this project. I would match the green or the yellow of the sheet and paint 3 walls one color and on the other wall paint it in stripes like the sheet - just don't use ALL the colors in the sheet. You can paint different size stripes and possibly even use the pink but make the pink a narrow pinstripe and the other 2 stripe colors varied in size as well. I REALLY think this would look GREAT and be appropriate for your age as well. Yes it takes a steady hand to paint stripes but it looks AWESOME when it's finished. If you choose to do this make sure the wall with the stripes is on a wall you see when you look into the room. Good Luck!
