My 1 year old comforter got wet and now has little black mildew spots in places! Help!!!

    If the washing instructions allow bleach try that. Make sure to look at the tag to see.

    I dont think you can…. call a drycleaner.. or buy a cover for it of course after you wash it a few times to get the smellout

    I would suggest that you throw it away. Mildew can make you sick and cause skin problems. You may really like it and want to try and spare it, if that’s the case I would say to bring it to a professional cleaner but they may tell you the same thing.HTH

    Chances are it has mildew inside it too. You might try making a paste out of a detergent and rub it into the comforter. Brush it off when it dries.Also, keep it outside in the sun. It probably isn’t a healthy blanket any more and might make you ill. Black mold is very unhealthy. Oh, there is also a Lysol spray to put on it. Beware of strong bleach…it will rot your fabric.

    if you can use a q-tip just spot treat the mildew spots, try that. Also try hanging it out in the sun for a few days.

    FIST OF ALL WET THE SPOT THEN GET A LEMON OR LIME WITH SOMESALT AND RUB IT INTO FABRIC ,THEN A PLASTIC BAG AND PLACE IN SUN TO SWEAT
